1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the RunAi application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1.2 Description of Service

RunAi is a mobile application for runners that allows you to log runs manually or track them live via GPS, view history and statistics, generate personalized training tips and plans powered by artificial intelligence, and sync data across devices via the cloud.

1.3 User Account

• An account is required to use the App. You can sign up with email/password or Google Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
• Each account is personal and non-transferable.

1.4 Free and Premium Plans

• The App offers free features with monthly usage limits (e.g., AI-generated tips and training plans).
• The Premium plan removes ads and increases usage limits through a monthly or annual subscription via Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through the App settings.
• No prorated refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period if you simply cancel your subscription, except as required by applicable law. If you delete your account instead, see Account Deletion below for how the remaining paid period is handled.

1.5 AI-Generated Content

• Training tips and plans generated by AI are informational suggestions and do not replace medical advice or professional coaching.
• RunAi is not liable for injuries or damages resulting from following suggestions provided by the App.
• Always consult a healthcare professional before starting or modifying your exercise routine.

1.6 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• Attempt to access other users' data.
• Reverse-engineer the App or its services.
• Abuse request limits or attempt to circumvent them.

1.7 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time via Settings → "Delete my account" within the App. Deletion is irreversible and removes your runs, training plans, saved tips, athlete profile (including declared injuries), and your login credentials. Any active subscription is cancelled immediately; if it is a paid Stripe subscription, you receive a proportional refund for the unused days of the period already paid. Two things are kept, and only these: your invoices and customer record at Stripe, which we are required to retain for tax purposes, and the record of a billing event with your personal content removed. If you sign up again later with the same email address, the same Stripe customer record is reused, which means your previous payment history remains linked to that email.

1.8 Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
• We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failures or misuse.
• Total liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.

1.9 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.

2.1 Data We Collect

RunAi collects and stores the following data:

• Account data: email address and authentication method (email/password or Google).
• Run data: date, distance, duration, pace, terrain, effort level, and notes you record.
• Health data (sensitive): injuries you declare when creating a training plan, and passages from your run notes that mention pain or discomfort. This data is only collected because you typed it, and is used to adapt training suggestions and warn you about risk. It is sent to the AI provider as described in 2.3. If you prefer not to share it, do not enter it in the App.
• Location data: GPS coordinates collected during live runs to display your route and calculate distance and pace in real time. Location is collected while the Live Run feature is actively in use, including when the screen is off — a persistent notification indicates active tracking. Location collection stops immediately when you end the run.
• Subscription data: plan status (free/premium) and payment identifiers managed by Stripe.
• Usage data: advertising identifiers for displaying ads (Google AdMob) on free accounts.
• Diagnostic data: if the App crashes or fails to respond, we collect a crash report containing device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical stack trace at the time of the failure, via Firebase Crashlytics. This data is used solely to identify and fix technical issues.

2.2 How We Use Your Data

• Provide App functionality (history, statistics, synchronization).
• Track live runs via GPS, displaying your route and real-time pace.
• Display a persistent notification during active runs showing live stats (distance, time, pace) and keeping GPS active with the screen off.
• Generate personalized training tips and plans via artificial intelligence, including feedback during or after a run.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Display relevant ads (free accounts only).
• Improve the App and diagnose, identify, and resolve crashes and other technical issues.

2.3 Data Sharing

Your data may be shared with the following third-party services, strictly for the purposes described:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, cloud storage, and crash/diagnostic reporting (Crashlytics).
• Stripe: subscription payment processing.
• Google AdMob: ad display on free accounts.
• AI providers (Google Gemini and OpenAI): to generate tips and training plans, we send your run metrics (distance, pace, duration, effort, terrain), your training goal and level, any injuries you declared, passages from your run notes that mention pain, and the free text you type when asking a question or creating a plan. We do not send your name, email address, or GPS coordinates. Because this content is written by you, it may contain personal information — avoid typing anything you would rather not share. These providers process data on servers located outside Brazil, and under their business terms they do not use this content to train their models.

2.4 Storage and Security

• Data is stored locally on the device and in the cloud (Firebase Firestore).
• All communication between the App and servers is encrypted via HTTPS.
• Access to Firestore data is restricted to the owning user via security rules.
• Authentication credentials are stored securely on the device by the operating system.

2.5 Data Retention

• Your data is retained as long as your account remains active.
• When you delete your account, the data listed in section 1.7 is removed immediately — not after a waiting period.
• Exception required by law: invoices, receipts, and the customer record at Stripe are retained for the period required by tax legislation, even after your account is deleted. We cannot remove these on request.
• Exception for unresolved billing: if we cannot confirm the cancellation of your subscription at the moment of deletion, we keep your account identifier alongside the Stripe customer identifier until the charge is resolved — precisely so that the pending charge can be stopped. It is discarded once the case is closed.
• Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained for statistical purposes.

2.6 Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the App.
• Request complete deletion of your account and data.
• Cancel your premium subscription at any time.
• Disable personalized ads in your device settings.

2.7 Children

RunAi is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

2.8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We recommend reviewing it regularly. Continued use of the App constitutes agreement to the most recent version.
